Governors

What Are School Governors?

School governors are volunteers who serve on a school's governing body. They are responsible for overseeing the management of the school, setting its strategic direction, and ensuring accountability. Governors work with the headteacher to make decisions about the school's budget, curriculum, staffing and buildings. They also have a legal duty to promote the welfare of the school and ensure high standards of educational achievement.
